As a child, I remember my parents having a small fish tank in our living room. I even remember checking it each day after coming home from school, wondering why a fish would occasionally disappear from the tank. That’s where my interest for fish began.
In the time that’s passed, I’ve gone through plenty of aquatic friends, and even went for a long period of time without a fish tank of my own. While I’ve had other pets during that time, keeping fish is a completely different ball game.
Unlike other common pets, fish aren’t needy, and they’re fairly low maintenance. It’s more about maintaining a healthy ecosystem and observing their growth and interactions from a close distance.
Over the years, I’ve done a lot of research about various species and learned how to help my fish thrive in their new home. And that’s my goal with Avid Aquarist – to teach you how to provide the ideal environment for your underwater creatures.
On this site, you’ll find everything from basic tips to control the environment within your tank to specific steps to take when you spot some worrying symptoms. Whether you’re an absolute beginner or a seasoned aquarist, my goal is to provide a useful resource for when you run into a snag.
Thanks again for visiting, and I hope you find the information helpful.
